spun.ink

Legal

Everything spun.ink asks you to agree to, and everything the law asks us to tell you. Each one is kept under version control and served straight from it, as a web page and as raw markdown, with no login and no JavaScript. The SHA-256 printed on each page is computed from the bytes you are being shown, so you can check that the copy you saved is the copy we served.

One acceptance covers all of them. The Terms of Service are the contract; they include the privacy notice, the data processing agreement, the acceptable use policy and the withdrawal instruction by reference. The legal notice is statutory information — there is nothing there to accept.

Older versions

A new version is a new file version, never an edit in place, and the outgoing text keeps answering at its own address — /legal/<document>/<version> — so the exact wording somebody accepted can always be read back. Changes to the Terms are announced by e-mail to the address on your account at least 30 days before they take effect.
